She portrayed the character called "Ramola Sikand" in daily soap ‘Kahin Kisi Roz’ on Star Plus which became an instant hit. She is considered to be one of the sexiest style icon on Indian television. She is known for her avant garde jewellery, chunk jewellery and designer bindis.

Since then she has acted in several other TV serials such as K Street Pali Hill Which can be seen on Star Plus. The Drama is produced by Ektaa Kapoor. She has acted in many feature films also some which includes Pati Parmeshwar (1989), Jeene Ki Saja (1991), Phoolwati (1992), Aakhri Chetawani (1993), Milan (1994), Bali Umar Ko Salaam (1994), Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain (1999), Malamaal Weekly (2006), etc. She has also enacted a lead role in a Hinglish play 'Hey No Sorry No Thanks' which was showcased at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi, Mumbai.

Her performances in Kabhi Idhar Kabhi Udhar, Chashme Badhur, Aparajita, and Young were widely appreciated. She worked in all kinds of serials: detective serials such as Commander, Marshal , etc and in children programmes like Shaktiman . Language could not become a bar for her. Her journey of acting started with Talugu films but she worked in Hindi and Tamil film as well.
